They didn't actually arrive until 4:00 in the morning -- something about the 131 exits being all blocked off and having to go all the way to the Cedar Springs exit and do a turnaround -- oops -- I forgot to tell them about that! We visited for a little while at the table, and Adam told us about his job. He seems to be enjoying it very much.
Adam had been looking all over the house for Thomas-K because last night (actually this morning) Thomas had interrupted their brief sleep by scratching at their door. Adam said he was amazed at how big Tommy looked from when he had seen him four months ago. I told Adam he was just used to his little Pixie cat and that's why Thomas appeared larger, but Adam was not convinced. But do you think Thomas would "show up" so that Adam could rough around with him?
No! As Adam and Emily were driving down our street, before they even got to the corner, out came Tommy from the bushes, meowing and complaining loudly that they were leaving ... I agree with you, Tommy!
