July 31 Ten years ago

Friday:
Ten years ago Dylan and Kelly got married! I thought I'd just post a couple of pictures from their wedding. Weren't the dresses beautiful? And the ladies too?!

I made them a card and hand-delivered it today ...

Congratulations you two! I love you both to pieces.

July 30 Mini-golf AND swimming too

Thursday:
I'm not sure IF or WHEN I've had a nice few hours with Kaity-Girl--although you would never know that from this first picture! Kaity looks rather annoyed! I'm not sure what provoked the look on her face--perhaps she was not liking the fact we had to keep waiting for the people ahead of us to finish up before we could do the next hole at mini-golf ...
AJ's Mini-Golf is one of the nicest courses I have ever seen--it's beautifully put together with lots of interesting variations to it.
This young fellow ahead of us (his name is Hunter) was quite conversant with us ...
This was Kaity's second time mini-golfing and she had a much better score this time! Good job, Kaity!

Future golf pro ...
Isn't this a pretty golf course?
We actually worked ourselves up to quite a sweat while we golfed, so we decided to change into our swim suits and jump into Versluis Lake.
The water felt warmer than the air! We swam for quite awhile!

Kaity's been really enjoying her goggles--she loves to swim under the water. She is also learning to float on her back and do a little swimming on her back as well.

I love this picture (below) of you, Kaity!

I'm so thankful for Versluis Park. It's so close to where I live, which makes it super handy!
We came back to my house where we enjoyed some fresh beef hotdogs and other treats. Matey joined us for our meal. He LOVES watermelon, and he's not opposed to hotdogs either.

We found out something about Matey today! If we clapped our hands loudly 2x, Matey would come and sit on our shoulder! I hope I can keep this up with him and train him in other ways too. We've been trying to teach him to say more than "SO CUTE" because that's all he says right now!

July 28 A few pictures of Baby Cal

Tuesday:
Look at this delicious baby! This is Callaghan, who has rolls and rolls of FATNESS.
You are beautiful, Cal! You have a lot of PAHMAN in you from what I can tell!
Erin is very fond of baby Cal. She will say in her tiniest voice: "He's SO cute!"

Brendan likes his brother too. Happiness for sure.

July 28 at Casade Twshp Park

Tuesday:
Since it was such a nice afternoon, we drove out to Cascade Township Park to play at their beautiful playground for awhile--it is KIND of on the way home to Dylan and Kelly's. By the time we arrived in the parking lot and I parked the car, this was the shape Aidan and Erin were in:
Two tired, dear babies ...
It took a few minutes, but soon they were awake and ON THE MOVE!

Erin! You are such a little doll ...

And Aidan! You have gotten SO BRAVE this year!

Brendan loves to climb on this apparatus ... I call it a spider web and tease him that he is "Spider-Man" while he climbs it. He tells me very definitely that he is NOT Spider-Man ... just Brendan. Aidan was pretty mesmarized while watching Brendan do his climb and finally exclaimed: "Yook, Gwamma Carol! Yook! Bwendan just climbed to the top of the sky!"

I absolutely love these pictures of Erin ...

Erin singing: "Let it Go!"
Erin singing, "Let it Go!"

The timer on my phone finally rang, annoucing it was time to go to the car. If I merely say that it is time to go I get a lot of opposition and resistance when we are at a nice park like this; but today, I had promised Brendan to play some Pokemon at his house upon our return--so he made a beeline to the car. The little kids weren't as eager, so I always use my favorite lure ... "Let's go see Mommy!" With those simple four words, these two little ones follow me to the car quite readily. Way to go, KELLY!
