Thursday, May 16: Our mission today was to go to the Children's Museum and somehow pick out a small gift that Kaity could give to her daddy for his birthday (tomorrow). I forgot to photograph what we picked out--but since RED is his favorite color, and he likes CARS, we got him a very nice back-up red pick-up truck with doors that open and even the back hatch opens!
Since we had driven all the way downtown and paid for an hour's parking, we took advantage of that time by ... playing! When we were here two weeks ago, they did not have this veterinary clinic set up. Kaity was pretty pumped to examine all of the animals, give them their shots, and return them to their kennels.Kaity made a few bubbles ...
Kaity pretended to have an MRI or CAT scan taken. I told her she had to be as still as possible and hold in her breath--don't blink even! Ha! She did great!
Below is what the screen looked like while she was holding her breath. She kills me.
School Playground: After our mission was accomplished down at the Children's Museum, we drove BACK to Kaity's school because I PROMISED her she could play on the school playground for a little while today.
The playground at Stoney Creek is really nice. It's large! It has three areas in which to play, and even has a pirate ship! Kaity seems to like it because of the many monkey bars. She is super good at doing every single one of them. She has very strong arms for such a slightly built person.
Kaity just loves being outside. I'm SO THANKFUL for the nice weather we've had. It's just wonderful to be able to take Kaity places without having to bundle up head to toe! Plus, no matter how bundled up I am, I am STILL cold!
Kaity truly should go into gymnastics. She is agile and athletic. She is happiest when she is on the move. I would channel that tremendous energy she has and hone up her physical skills at the same time!
Baby Jo-Jo got to accompany Kaity on every piece of equipment possible.
We also met a little girl, Lillie (5) who had three baby chicks in a container. She was kind enough to allow us to touch and hold them for a little while. Kaity LOVES animals. She is NOT afraid of them. Look at her happy little face! This chickie's name is SUNNY.
After the playground, we went over to my house and ate our dinner, played hide 'n seek, read a book to Paco ... oh! ... and Kaity made her daddy a birthday card and we wrapped up his present! We managed to squeeze in time for a tiny chocolate sundae topped with chocolate and M&M's before we drove back to Kaity's house.
