November 5 An invitation from Jesse

Friday:  I messaged Jesse to find out how things were going over at his place. Was Emma back to work after being quarantined? Was it his weekend or Di's to have Kaity? While we messaged back and forth, Jesse invited me over for dinner tonight, and I accepted!

I'm not sure I have told the "miracle" story of where Jesse is now living. I'll try to make it short, but it MUST be told since this is such an answer to prayer.

THE STORY:  Jesse's very close friends, Scott and Megan, told Jesse of an available house right next door to theirs. It wasn't yet on the market, but Scott knew the family wanted to sell. The buying and selling part is really long, but many were praying about Scott being able to purchase this place. You see, the house is in the kiddo's school district. Kaity happens to be BEST friends with Scott and Megan's two daughters, and the house itself would be adequate for Jesse and kiddos to live in.

There were many delays and sometimes we wondered if it really would happen, but Scott WAS able to buy the house and Jesse IS renting from him--right next door! There were tons of stuff "not quite right" about the house, so Scott and his dad (Larry) and Jesse have been working nonstop and have basically had to tear out every single plumbing, heating and cooling, and water pipe in the entire basement. It's been interesting. These guys have worked their guts out.
The house itself sits back off the road and the property empties out to a wonderful wooded area that goes way DOWN to a little stream. I can't wait to explore back there! There is also a very interesting and spacious garage just behind the house where Jesse can store some really important things he inherited from his dad (books and records) that he will eventually attempt to sell.
Here are a few snapshots of the inside of the house. Below is the front room.
Jesse has a vintage Steelcase corner desk in one corner of the main room that will eventually be moved into his bedroom--but that bedroom is still under construction presently.
This is the very roomy kitchen with loads and loads of cupboard space! Jesse is very happy here. I'm so glad for him and so thankful that God helped to orchestrate this move for Jesse and this place to live.
Jes and I spent three hours together, just eating and talking. It was very nice to spend time with him at his own place. Thank you so much, Lord!
