Friday: I picked this little stinker up at 11:30 this morning and we came right over to my house and played, and played, and played! I love to play with Cal. He's an interesting little person. He loves the toys at my house--good thing, too! I have a LOT of toys.
However, Cal is not very inclined to play with Baby James, Henry, Baby Jesus, or Mildred--which is fine. Erin loves playing with them when she comes over, so at least someone plays with them.We ate tacos for lunch. Cal requested we read: "Dragons LOVE Tacos" while we were eating; but I told him I would have to finish my taco first and THEN I would read--which I did!
We also shot a LOT of hoops. Cal has a really good arm on him. Today, he didn't even request that I lower the hoop (which you cannot see in this picture because it is hooked to the top cupboard door).
Cal's a pretty good shot, too. We try to keep track of our points; but I'm pretty liberal about it since Cal is only 4 and doesn't really comprehend much about the value of numbers yet.
The orange ball is Cal's favorite. He sticks me with the blue ball (that came with the hoop), and our Spider Man ball. We ring my little bell when we score a point and then we high-5 each other.
We also built for quite awhile with our MagnaCubes. They are such fun to build with! I think Cal will flip out when he sees the dinosaur ones I bought him for Christmas.
We worked for quite awhile constructing this dragon/alligator/monster. We could not have done it without a very detailed picture that came with the cubes; it took us awhile, but we finally accomplished it. Cal's job was to work on the head and teeth, which he did with great care and delight.
You are really something, young Cal!
We also played monster wars (!!!) with PlayDoh again today. We were running out of time to be at my house, so we only had 20 minutes of PlayDoh time--which was plenty of time to make our monsters and kill each other. Sheesh.
And then we were ready to go, go, go back to Cal's house in time to meet Brendan coming home from school at 3:15!
We ran into a few problems with the rendezvous plan with Brendan; but I'll detail that in the next post!
