Sunday: I had a very full Easter Sunday! Margaret invited me to an early morning brunch (8 am) at her house with about 13 others--I can't remember all of their names--but what nice folk they were. I did know a few of them: Helen, Tamela, Sondra (whom I had met earlier in the week), Adonica and her son Levi, along with a few others I had never before met. Margaret and Michael are super good cooks, and we had a HUGE meal of delicious quiches, cheesy potatoes, BACON, etc. I don't usually accept invitations like this. Why not, you might ask? Well ... it's not that I don't like people--I do! But ... I have a weird fear of being with people I don't know very well. Anyway, I asked the Lord to help me get over this ... and I do see Him working inside of my heart about it--so that's encouraging. Breakfast at Margarets was very nice and I am glad I made myself go. Margaret gave me these beautiful tulips to enjoy!
Calvary's Easter service was just over-the-top wonderful worship! Jesus is alive. He loves us. He never gives up on us. God is so awesome. The sermon, "Come Home," was one of the sweetest I have ever heard.
After the service, I drove over to Dylan and Kelly's house where we ate lunch and played for awhile. I love these guys so much.
At 4:00, Aidan and Erin were supposed to be playing "flag football" over at Forest Hills N. football field. So we drove over there--but no one else was there! Apparently, the date got changed due to it being Easter ... so the kids will have to do that another time. I did manage to snap just a few quick pictures of them.
I seriously think I will give this a try!
