May 15 Cal's birthday card

Several weeks in May: Yes, yes, yes! I was working on this special birthday card for Cal for weeks (on and off, in my "spare" time)! These birthday cards are VERY important, you see. They kind of sum up the last year of time spent with each grandchild. They have grown from 4 pages to 8 pages. I have too many pictures evidently.

This is the front page of Cal's card:

Below are various days where we hung out together: at Cal's house playing games, down at Mill Creek exploring, playing Chess at my house, playing with my small marionette puppet, blasting stomp rockets, and digging with a cool digger at the playground.
Here's more stuff we did. I really like the photo of Cal watching the birds outside my side window. See his sweet reflection?

I try to take the kiddos one-on-one to Schwallier's Country Basket each fall because it's such an enjoyable way to spend our time. Look how much fun Cal had!

Altitude is another fun place, but in the last few months, they have changed ownership and have really let down on watching to make sure children are safely jumping. I'm not sure we will visit here again very soon (which is sad).

We also LOVE it at Deer Tracks. Cal was completely in his element here between digging in the corn, enjoying all of the great animals, and just being outside on all of their amazing playgrounds.

The back of Cal's card: These photos were taken at Cal's most recent sleepover when he checkmated me (legitimately!) Doesn't he have the cutest little face?!?!
