Friday: Gregory's sixth birthday party began today at 5:00 this afternoon. He had so many nice friends come over to celebrate with him. He was super happy!
Cal's most exciting gift was a Gaga Ball net enclosure. Gaga ball is a big deal with this age child, it has been around for a few years now, and kids still enjoy playing it.
I asked all of them to pretend they were the winners of the Gaga Ball Gold Medal at the Olympics. This was how they all posed for the famous pictures!
Most of the party kids played outdoors for the party. A few of them snuck inside (including Cal) to play video games in the basement for a little while--but it didn't dominate the entire party or anything. They had a lot of fun running around outside too, and it was a perfect weather day.
Here is Deborah (she is one of 4 children, all named after the Judges from the Old Testament--so she has a brother named Gideon, one named Samson, oh! and a sister named Ruth--even though Ruth was not a Judge). Deborah and Erin are building little faux LEGO animals, which were really cute.
It was eventually time to sing "Happy Birthday" to Gregory, so the Cake Pops, cupcakes, and muffins were all brought outside ...
Here's three shots of Cal's little face as his friends were singing "Happy Birthday" to him. He looks happy to me!
These kids really enjoy the company of other children. They have really nice neighbors, and a whole bunch of good friends from church.
Cal opened his gifts from friends outside on the deck. His siblings could barely contain themselves while they anticipated each gift being opened.
Cal received some very nice presents. I think Aidan was as thrilled about them as Cal was!
I'll show you what I bought for Cal in the next post ...
