Day #10: At Peg's house in Houston
Mr. Jones's sister, Peg, lives in Houston. His other sister, Kathie, and her husband (Dan) were flying into Houston from Coshocton (that great rural Ohio town) and we were all going to spend a couple of days together. Peg has a beautiful condo not far from downtown Houston. She fixed us a marvelous spaghetti dinner Tuesday evening and we had such a nice time visiting together.
We took a nice walk around her neighborhood, and although I have posted this "odd" beer can house a few years ago, I just couldn't resist showing it to you again ...
It's quite a famous place, actually ... people actually tour it! We just walked around it and gawked for awhile ...
... and then returned to Peg's house to visit away the evening. Wednesday, we have plans to go and visit Ima Hogg's mansion (yes! there was an actual person unfortunate enough to be given that name!) at Bayou Bend (which has beautiful gardens), as well as go to the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Wednesday night ... when I find the time, I'll show you our pictures.
