June 13 We take Matey for a walk outside

Saturday:  We FINALLY did it! It took the TWO of us to manipulate Matey into our little mesh cage, but we accomplished it at last! We decided it was high time we took our "pet" for an outdoor stroll. 

 Kaity was super pleased about this entire plan ...

 Matey was far more settled when we held his "cage" horizontal, so that's what we did.

 We walked around a few blocks, introducing Matey to everyone who was interested!

 When we got back inside, Kaity held Matey for a little bit. He used to tolerate this quite well actually ...

 ... but today, Matey gave Kaity quite a PECK on her hand--OUCH!

 Matey was quickly forgiven, however, and all was well.
