March 14 Wee Willow

Thursday:  I was looking forward to a little visit with Kaity this afternoon, but I was delayed going over to see her until 4:00 (when she had already been home from school more than an hour)--and by the time I arrived, she had fallen into a deep sleep and would not be wakened. Pooh. I left her Kit-Kat candy bar on her bed shelf (it's her favorite candy bar) ...

But I did get to visit with my firstborn for more than an hour. We had a very enjoyable time!

This little "kitty" on Jesse's lap is NOT a kitten by any stretch of the imagination. She is fully NINETEEN years old! Jesse has told me her breed before, but I can never remember (mostly because I've never heard of it before). She is, I think, an oriental breed that just doesn't get any bigger! She weighs a womping 4.5 pounds ... but can she MEOW--filling Jesse's entire house with her complaints. Mostly she just wants to sit on Jesse's lap and be noticed. However, if she is hungry and feels it is past time to receive her food--watch out! She has quite a personality ... and the largest eyes ... but maybe that's because the rest of her is so small. Willow is "adopted" by Jesse via his friend, Larry and Bev. When Bev passed away nearly two years ago, Larry just couldn't cope with Bev's cat--it just was too sad for him; so he asked if Jesse would take her. Willow came with a LOT of stuff--a few cat towers, litter box, specific food, a little bed, etc. She has finally gotten "used" to me and will now and then climb up on my lap very briefly (just to check me out, I guess); but, her favorite person is Jesse. 

I always learn new things when I am with Jesse--lots of stuff about the armed forces; but more than that, he has knowledge about a lot of different interesting things. I love him very much. 

Next Thursday, I am driving Jesse to the airport; so perhaps Kaity will eat a meal with me and spend a little time over at my house--I will ask, but I don't expect to get a positive response. That doesn't mean that I am giving up--I love and miss Kaity!
