March 20 KAITY!!!

Thursday:  I took Jesse to the airport early this afternoon. He gave Kaity the choice of either hanging out with her friends next door to them, or hanging out with me. And Kaity chose ME. I was actually very surprised and BEYOND happy! I haven't been with Kaity outside of Jesse's house since Christmas. I have missed her terribly.

SO ... I picked Kaity up as she came off her bus. I explained that I was in the middle of quite a project, getting my sister's house ready for their move to Georgia. I desperately needed more boxes, but I didn't want to pay for them (!!); so after I dropped Jesse off at the airport, I went looking for boxes ... FREE boxes! Since I was near 28th Street, I thought I would try Meijer. I asked at the Courtesy desk, but the man there said Meijer no longer donates boxes. Bummer.

BUT ... he said I could check in Produce--he'd heard that they donate "banana boxes"! I truly didn't know what a banana box would look like, but hey--a free box is a FREE box. As I walked towards Produce, I asked the Lord if He would please, PLEASE allow me to have a good number of boxes. I was so pleased to find a produce helper who asked me how many I wanted and I told her as many as I could fit into my car. She was very helpful and agreeable. I pulled my car up to the nearest exit by Produce and we squeezed TWELVE banana boxes into my little car! YAY!

Kaity was a bit surprised when she got into my car and it was stuffed with boxes. I explained that we were going to load them up and carry away unnecessary items from my sister's house; so that is what we did! It felt SO great to get this job accomplished today. Kaity was pleasant throughout. It actually didn't take very long because I had already organized and selected the items yesterday and put them out on the countertop.

Afterwards, we went over to my little house and ate hotdogs and hung out for a little while. It was SO NICE to be with Kaity! I told her my couch had missed her too!

I showed Kaity a few "extra" magnets I had ordered. She constructed a very tall magnet tower, arranging them from biggest and going up, up, up to the tiniest ones (just like Aidan and Cal did last week!)

Kaity played with these for quite awhile while I was doing a bit of clean-up. I love to play with magnets--they have always fascinated me. I love these pictures of Kaity!
