July 21 The rest of our day

Monday afternoon:  After lunch, I convinced the children that on this perfectly beautiful weather day, we needed to be outside in the fresh air and enjoy God's good earth ... at a playground. I received a few quiet moans from the children at first; but I did NOT let that influence me. I described the park we were going to spend an hour playing at to see if they could remember it ... they could not recall it!

However, when we arrived--they were quite enthusiastic about it!

There are quite a few unique apparatus here to climb on ... and all of these kiddos are monkeys.
Look at Cal's happy little face ...
Aidan was super strong with pushing the merry-go-round and then hopping on it to enjoy the ride.
Erin was so agreeable to posing for pictures! I love it when kids don't shy away from my camera.

I was so glad to see Aidan this happy playing outside. He really enjoyed himself here.
Little Cal is quite a tenacious little guy ... look at his determination to dig with this "excavator"! He worked and worked at this!

Erin and I actually teeter-tottered!
I set a timer so that we would return to the car and get back to Calvin College to pick Brendan up from his music camp. We took a little sneak peek inside his classroom. Already, the kids sounded SO beautiful together!

Erin requested I take a series of pictures of her outside the Knollcrest building, so I did.
