Tuesday: Today is Veteran's Day, the day we in the USA honor all who have served in our Armed Forces. Jesse was in charge of the Veteran's Day parade again this year in downtown Grand Rapids. It's a frustrating job position (at best), but he continues heading it up anyway. I was not able to go this year because it was at night, beginning at 7pm, and I was just saying my good-byes over at Dylan's about then. In order for me to attend the parade, I would have had to drive downtown, find a parking spot, and hope to connect with the parade somewhere, somehow. Since it is pitch dark now at 7pm, I elected not to do this alone. But I still regret it. I like to attend anything Jesse is attending! And especially on this very special day of honor for him.
Instead, I am honoring him here on this unknown blog of mine! Thank you, dear son, for serving our country for the six+ years that you did. Thank you for all you do for veteran's in W. Michigan too. You are loved.
