Saturday Afternoon: Here are a bunch of photos of Chris with people who love him very much. We all were surprised to find that our Matt was here at the game, kind of incognito, except he wasn't in costume or anything. He just didn't make himself known until after the game, for reasons quite his own (and I am not being critical of him, please understand).
So the game is over. Olivet lost 6 to 63 points. I think Chris was just emotional and sad from the whole thing. Ella was there to greet him. She deserves the first hug, don't you think? I like how these two hug, and I am glad they have each other.
Thankfully, Matt allowed himself to be photographed. Isn't he handsome? I told him this, which I think was embarrassing for him--but he is!
Here is Chris with a fellow-Comet ... looks like a good dude to hang out with.
I took a bunch of family pictures because it is so rare that these kiddos are all together at the same time and same place anymore.
I think Matt is 6'2"+ and Chris is 5'11". I'm just pointing this out because Matt is 17 months younger than Chris. But even when they were very little boys, everyone knew Matt would be taller than Chris one day. I was 7 INCHES taller than my sister, who was four years older than me, by the time I was 14 years old. I didn't like it, but that's another story (boring).
These are nice pictures of these two brothers!
Matt (20), Chris (22 in two weeks), and Emma (23). Ah. Just yesterday (!!) they were 2, 4 and 5! I swear this is what it feels like to me.
And Kaity-Girl too! There is 7 years between Matt and Kaity. I'm going to have to choose one of these photos and frame it. So glad all four are in these few pictures.
And here is their mama, Diana, who sure is proud of her kiddos.
So the game was over, and we all went our separate ways. I looked over to Emma and told her that it would be completely INSANE if we were this close to Lake Michigan and didn't go and visit it ... so that's the next post.
