Tuesday: I remembered to take a few pictures today when I was with the kids! Yes! Nothing unusual about our time together, but I liked it very much. Sometimes when the kids come home from school, they are not very talkative--kind of in a hurry to find out who gets to have their 30-minute screen time first, etc. But today, they stayed upstairs with me longer and we visited, ate snacks, and played a few games too. I'm always glad when that happens--although, hear me on this!! I don't force the kiddos to spend time with me. Who wants to hang out with an old grandma anyway?
I paid $14.99 for this Tetrus game about three years ago, and every one of the kids have enjoyed it. It is a lot of fun actually! Look how serious Cal looks in this picture. He is so funny sometimes. And my dear Brendan played for awhile too. Yes--he is MY DEAR Brendan. Do you have any idea, the year he was born, how much he meant to me? Jesse and Diana and kiddos were 1500 miles away in El Paso when Brendan was born. My Little Fellow. Such an affectionate little one he was! God spoke love to me through him all the time.
Brendan participated in a basketball tournament through his church last weekend in the Detroit area. He told me they didn't make it into the semi-finals like they did last year, but he still had a good time. Brendan is a very good sport, always has been.
I love this picture of Erin!! She asked me to take this picture because the Tetrus blocks looked so cool stacked in this way, and she smiled so nicely for the picture.
Aidan and his friend, Orion (which I am sure I have either misspelled or completely misunderstood) hung out much of the time. They are neighborhood friends. I'm glad Aidan has a neighborhood chum.
I brought over a set of Dominoes that I "inherited" from Ruthanne and Terry before they moved last May. Erin and I enjoyed building with them--we didn't ever play the REAL game, but Erin set up a half-circle and then watched them knock each other over with one push from her finger. She found it very delightful.
When Dylan and Kelly came home from work, I had a nice visit with them too. So thankful for this family.
