October 26 with KT

Thursday afternoon/evening:  Kaity and I began working on a new puzzle tonight. I let Kaity make the choice of which one to do next. She chose the 500-piece puzzle of a young girl in a barn, sitting down and looking out an upper window--it looks like she is praying--with 2 cats beside her. We separated out ALL of the edges ... we tried to, at least--but this puzzle looks like it has a lot of unusual shaped pieces, some of which do NOT interlock! I loved working on this with Kaity.

We ate our simple dinner (the usual), cleaned up, and drove over to Altitude. Kaity was very anxious to see her good friend (from Altitude), Ayden. He finally showed up about 30 minutes after we had been there. I was kind of relieved to see him! Kaity was kind of stressed that he wasn't going to come. No worries. Ayden is two years younger than Kaity--so he is NINE. But he is a really really FUN person. They get along really well and laugh and goof around together. I love to be the audience!

There were quite a few "parties" going on at Altitude Thursday night. One party had a group of 100 "rocket" football kids (about 10 years old) and they were WILD. I felt a little bit sad for the staff because it was a bit overwhelming. We've never seen it so crowded on a Thursday night. It made finding a "free" trampoline difficult. The rules state that only one person can jump on each trampoline. There were at least 4-6 kids jumping on EACH trampoline -- the favorite ones near the wall -- bumping and crashing into each other like crazy.

Ayden and Kaity still had a good time, though. They play ROUGH. It's difficult to not totally crack up watching them! Friendship is a good thing, though. I am glad Kaity has good friends!
