Monday: We decided to shop in downtown Safety Harbor today to see what we could see! There were tons of nice shops--most a little bit pricey for me. The one's that weren't too expensive all began to look quite the same after looking around for awhile.
We did walk down to the little marina and harbor area in Safety Harbor. Such a pretty place.
This pier was badly damaged by the two hurricanes last fall ...
David said he used to walk to the end of this pier lots of times. Hopefully, they will get it reconstructed and he can do this again.
We were invited to dinner over at Andrew and Alison's Monday night (since it is my last night in Florida). It was a super hot day and evening. David and Andrew had a very fun game of water basketball.
Andrew grilled up hamburgers for us and Karrie had a great fruit tart for us for dessert. It sure was nice to get better acquainted with Karrie this trip. This is not a good picture of Carol. I regret that I didn't make her pose for one so you could see that she just gets prettier year after year.
Here are Andrew and Alison, married almost 15 years now. Another happily married couple! I haven't seen many couples who were happily married in my entire lifetime. But these two are.
THE SLINGSHOT!!!!!
I almost left the state of Florida without riding the Slingshot! Andrew insisted upon it as we were leaving their house Monday night. He decided I could ride with him back to David and Carol's house. So I did.
Helmet and everything!
WOW. It was very thrilling to ride in this vehicle! Alison sent me a few pictures of us pulling out of her driveway--but I can't find them! When I do, I'll put them right here!
It's only about a 15 minute drive between Andrew's house and David's house, but it was a FUN 15 minutes!
