September 12 Cousins at Altitude

Friday:  It's Brendan's turn for a sleepover with his old grandma! I'm super thankful Brendan is willing to spend time with me, even though I do not own a television or a video game system. I have a lot of games we can play together and a lot of crafting supplies too ... and Brendan likes that stuff as well as video games.

I spoke to Kaity when I saw her last night about taking Brendan to Altitude this afternoon. She asked if she could join us and I said YES YES YES you can!!!

Here are pictures of Kaity and Brendan jumping together this afternoon:

It's been awhile since Kaity has been to Altitude. Much of the staff that we used to see here every time we went, are not working here anymore evidently. A bunch of new faces greeted us instead. Kaity is very athletic and right away got back into her jumping rhythm and "tricks", although not all of them. She did not try to do a front flip, which she had mastered completely a few months ago. I was glad she didn't push herself to do stunts she wasn't confident about doing anymore.

Brendan likes to jump too. However, he has never been to Altitude weekly like Kaity used to enjoy; so his jumping isn't quite like Kaity's. I think he had a really good time, though.
They played one game of Air Hockey, which Brendan won 7-6 (I think) ...
And then they got up on the Battle beam and fought it out there for awhile. It was very fun to watch them.

Everything was very good-natured between them. Kaity is a few inches taller than Brendan; but Brendan has grown a lot in this last year and ... both of them are definitely NOT little kids anymore.

Since all of the foam blocks are now limited to an area in the back jumping area, we migrated over there for awhile to see what we could see.
Both Brendan and Kaity decided to build with the blocks.
Brendan eventually made a comfortable chair ...

And Kaity built a room for herself (but I failed to get a decent picture of it).
Kaity added a chair to her room (oh! here is a picture of it!) for added comfort.
Then their creations were smashed and pitched back into the pit (along with Kaity).

I'm so glad these two got to spend a little time with each other today! Cousins need to keep in touch! We took Kaity back over to her dad's house afterwards and then headed over to my place ...
