September 6 More with Erin

Saturday:  We left Schwallier's at nearly 11am and came back to my house to play for awhile before lunch. Erin discovered my "candy" cupboard (stashed with a tiny bit of chocolate and other various candies--just in case I get the craving). Erin had a few chocolate kisses and then I gave her this nice soft gummy worm. She decided to pretend it was a pacifier so that she and Baby Bonnie could be babies together.

I put on a short cartoon of Tom & Jerry while I was fixing lunch for us. See her little squirrel stuffed animal. Erin has named her "Nutty."
Erin, showing me some attitude.
We decided that "Tony Tony" needed some EARS, so we worked on those for awhile trying to decide how big or small they should be. We cut this out of felt and hot-glued it onto our puppet.

After lunch, we played a few games of "STONES"--which Erin enjoys very much ... until ... her stones stick together during her turn (these are magnets and you do NOT want your magnet to stick to the other magnets--if they come together, you have to take them ALL. The first one to get rid of all of their stones is the winner).

This was the last game we played before we rounded up Erin's stuff and drove back to her house. During our last "Stone" game, however, the magnets jumped around so much that some of them fell on the floor! We can't for the life of us find TWO of them. Hmm. I guess I'm going to have to get down on my hands and knees with a flashlight and find those other two magnets! Maybe at the same time, I will find our missing "Herbie"!
