January 26 with Brendan, Aidan and Erin

Tuesday:  The days go by so quickly from Tuesday to Tuesday! It always surprises me when another week zooms by. But Tuesdays are GOOD because I get to entertain three small people who I love very much. I set up Kaity's tree house this week for the kiddos to play with. I can hardly believe how much they love this particular toy--ALL of them!

Mr. Aidan isn't real keen on SHARING ... he prefers, very much, to play ALONE ... until he gets lonely, and then he allows Erin to join in on the play. But Aidan is young yet and his parents encourage him to share and I do too! He will catch on eventually! He has a very strong personality you see!
Erin decided she was "hung-a-ree" and climbed in her chair. I told her it would be a few minutes before the mac 'n cheese was ready, but she would not be deterred from waiting in her chair. Matey joined her, hoping for a snack ...

Matey helped himself to the cucumber I was cutting up for Erin to eat while she so patiently waited for her "noodles."
We did some reading after lunch ...
The tree house was a big hit all day!
Brendan requested that we watch "Ice Age ... " an updated version with a space / dinosaur theme. So we did that. Look at the little kids watching as they build with the magnet tiles.
Brendan very loudly and with all of his heart wanted me to watch every single second of this movie. "Look! Look, grandma!" So I really and truly tried to give this movie all of my attention for his sake.

Brendan ... love this dear child so much ...
I think my favorite thing about Tuesday was that we sang all the way back to the kids' house! Brendan reminded me of a song I recall from my childhood. We had so much fun singing it and making up rhymes! Aidan was cracking up in the back seat. Erin was soundly sleeping ...

Down by the Bay

Down by the bay
Where the watermelons grow
Back to my home
I dare not go
For if I do
My mother will say
"Did you ever you ever see a goose
Kissing a moose?"
Down by the bay

Down by the bay
Where the watermelons grow
Back to my home
I dare not go
For if I do
My mother will say
"Did you ever see a whale
With a polka dot tail?"
Down by the bay

Down by the bay
Where the watermelons grow
Back to my home
I dare not go
For if I do
My mother will say
"Did you ever see a fly
Wearing a tie?"
Down by the bay

Down by the bay
Where the watermelons grow
Back to my home
I dare not go
For if I do
My mother will say
"Did you ever see a bear
Combing his hair?"
Down by the bay

Down by the bay
Where the watermelons grow
Back to my home
I dare not go
For if I do
My mother will say
"Did you ever see a llama
Eating pajamas?"
Down by the bay

Down by the bay
Where the watermelons grow
Back to my home
I dare not go
For if I do
My mother will say
"Did you ever have a time
When you couldn't make a rhyme?"
Down by the bay

Down by the bay
Where the watermelons grow
Back to my home
I dare not go
For if I do ...
