DTJ CONTINUED: Erin requested to go to the CORN BIN next, which is through the 90-acre wood (where the bears and a few other animals live). She jumped right in the corn as soon as she could!
We played for awhile with the corn, and then Erin requested that I bury her up to her shoulders ...Erin was very pleased to be bored.
This is the "ceiling" of the corn bin ...
Believe it or not, sitting/laying in the corn is quite relaxing and refreshingly cool.
Erin did her share of cannonballs ...
After about 20 minutes, we walked over to where the bears were, climbed up the stairs to the lookout and found very inactive bears (I didn't even take their pictures). Here are some of the cattle they have in the distance, which you can see up close if you pay for the safari edition of DTJ. We didn't do that.
We fed the funny goats on our way to another playground ...
On our walk to exit out of DTJ, Erin went aside to do the rubber duck races ...
Erin did one last playground on the way out ... her flashlight came in very handy.
It was very past lunch time by the time we got to our car. We decided to eat at Culver's and drove to the one out in Rockford. Erin got a kids' meal cheeseburger, cheese curds, and pop. She also had chocolate ice cream for dessert.
ERIN LUCIA!!! You are the cutest. What fun it was to spend 24 hours with you. I am exhausted, but very happy.
