Friday Evening: Our next stop was Hog Heaven to see the infant pigs. Actually, these guys weren't as small as the ones we saw last year; but they're still pretty funny. They REALLY liked Cal, which cracked him up.
There was also a very nice sand box with tons of sand toys to play with. Cal played here for a solid 30 minutes. He wondered if the pigs would join him ...
... and one pig did! (Note to self: Cal will definitely need a bath tonight).
Cal loves sandboxes. Me too! I wish I had one at my house for the kids to play in--but it's just not reasonable to have a sandbox in a retirement village.
We fed a bunch of baby goats too ...
On our way OUT of Deer Tracks Junction, we played at every playground. This is the Fort and Train playground.
We needed to go back inside the main building to wash our hands and use the bathroom. I threw Cal in the jail and told him I lost the key! Look at his little face ... he knew I was just kidding, but played along with it just for fun.
And of course, Cal rode the triceratops as his last hurrah ...
I loved our time at Deer Tracks so much. I will never forget how wonderful it was to enjoy these hours with Cal. What a precious little boy he is. I am one very blessed grandma.
