DTJ [continued]:
We left the Prairie Dog habitat--basically just turned around and walked a few steps to the Fort & Train playground area. Kaity ran right up the blue side from bottom to top without one single hesitation or false move--up, up, up she went just like a ... gazelle! Gabe stood there looking at the slide for quite a bit with Kaity encouraging him from the top--see her?Gabe did a few stretches with Kaity mocking him from above ...
He finally ran up the slide from the bottom to the top too, but I missed that picture. They explored the train and fort area, going in and out of tunnels, using the flashlights I brought with me.
Gabe likes HEIGHTS very much. He is a kindred spirit in that regard! He will get to the top of ANYTHING. If it is there to climb, he WILL climb it. I'm like that too, except now I am old.
After this, we went back through the side door of the main entrance to the OTHER side door that took us to a pathway leading to the 90-acre Wood. You can see (and hold) guinea pigs, bear (you can't hold those!), deer, ostriches, ALLIGATORS!!!!, and the highlight is this great CORN BIN.
This bin is HUGE and deep with corn. It's very comfortable to lie down in--and I suppose if you were lucky enough to be there alone, you could even take a nice comfortable nap in it--I WOULD!
Gabe and KT played for quite awhile here, burying each other and just having fun.
Look how HAPPY Kaity is! Doesn't she have the nicest smile?
I think this is a very pretty picture of you, dear Kaity!
Isn't this a great picture too? I love the expression on Gabe's face! And Kaity's tenderness!
So much more to post ...
