June 17 Second Annual Ladies' Tea

Tuesday:  Our MNBS small group of women held their 2nd annual ladies' tea this afternoon over at the beautiful home of Julie and Victor. They are both marvelous chefs (Greek, Italian, pastries, etc.) and gardeners. Julie asked that I come a little bit early and show the ladies around the garden while she got last minute stuff ready for our lunch. I took a lot of pictures today, but I'm only going to post a fraction of them!

Julie's dining room, all set up for the feast ...

This is Margaret, our small group facilitator ...
This is Cindy ...
On the left is Jen, who owns and operates Ball Park Floral (and is our youngest group member at age 43) ... and then next is Julie (our hostess), and Pam (who made most of the "tea" sandwiches and other goodies).
Jen gifted us with this beautiful floral arrangement for a centerpiece ...
Several ladies brought baked goods too ...
Cindy brought a delicious cake from the bundt cake place over on 28th street ...

We enjoyed such a nice time eating around this lovely table.
Those not pictured, but there: Tamela, Ohile', Ming, Bethany, Eva, Christie (our co-leader) ... and Victor, who gave us his famous homemade scones topped with fresh fruit and the most amazing homemade whipped cream I have ever tasted--I think it's called Bovarian cream ??  Anyway, I'm not a big fan of scones--but these were NOT dry, these were moist and light and yummy.

We had such a nice time of fellowship and catching up with each other--it's been since the end of April that we've been together. It was such a nice time. We ended up visiting and then praying together until nearly 5:30 pm. Super nice time.

I took a "few" photos of Julie and Victor's garden:
