December 18 Christmas Pageant

Sunday:  I look forward every single year to the Christmas Pageant at Holy Trinity. Probably the biggest reason is that the grandchildren are in it and are amazingly cute to watch (along with ALL of the children); but also, the church does a really good job at putting it on! The costumes are great! The Scripture reading is excellent! The participation of ALL of the young people is significant. It's just GOOD!

Here are a few (!!) pictures--of course focusing mainly on Brendan, Aidan, and Erin ...

Kelly invited me into the room where the little kids were getting costumed up ...
The bigger kids were having a last-minute practice in the fellowship hall ...
Callaghan was running around having a good ole time ... Kelly was taking good care of this little dear.
Brendan is JOSEPH this year. In this picture, he is fussing with the babydoll in the manger--evidently something wasn't quite right and needed fixing ...

Aren't their costumes great?
I love the camaraderie of the children ... it's nice to watch the friendships.

Look at our halo-less angel (Aidan) getting into his angel role ...

The Nativity narration was read from the Bible by the older kids and then some of it was repeated by the actors on stage ...

Everything went along very smoothly. This isn't a lengthy program--which makes it really doable for all the little kids too.

The STAR cracks me up every single year ...

Aidan looks SO tired, doesn't he? Little love.
After the performance, all of the cast was grouped together for pictures ...

And then it was over!
Look at the angels running down the aisle!
