Saturday: We had one goal today--go to Macy's and check out the Toys R Us store inside it. We have really missed our local Toys R Us for the last few years. We used to go inside and spend an hour touching everything and checking out all of the newest toys. Ordering on the internet is "handy" but not very "hands on" ... it's always a bit of a gamble not being able to actually look at all angles of a gift you are buying and comparing it with other stuff in the store, etc.
SO ... when we walked into Macy's (main level) on Saturday, we were greeted with a big Toys R Us sign and about 4 square feet of shelving with a few toys displayed.
THAT COULD NOT POSSIBLY be the entire Toys R Us store-inside Macy's ... could it?
Thankfully--No! We finally found a smaller sign that directed us up the escalator to the much bigger section designated for Toys R Us. There were lots of sale items and it was fun to look through and see what was offered ...
... however, it was a far cry from the enormous warehouse setting Toys R Us used to inhabit.
Look how TALL Kaity has grown! We measure her several times a year and every single time she has grown significantly taller!
After we left the mall, we drove over to my house to eat and hang out for awhile. Kaity wasn't feeling very good, so we really didn't do much. I hope she feels better when I see her next time.
