Out at Robin's

Saturday, June 22:  It could not have been a more perfect weather day out at Morrisson Lake Saturday afternoon. Robin invited any and all of us to come out and enjoy their beautiful place! We took her up on it!

Kaity got a couple of good bites today, but those tricky fish weazled themselves right off the line and would NOT be reeled in!
Phinheas McGee kept watch to see if he could spot any prize fish for us ...
Emma fished too and got a few really good bites, but the fish got away each time. That was okay, though, seeing that this was Emma's first time fishing. She caught on to the casting thing super fast and was very good at it.
Our swan cygnets have grown! Look at them!
I took a ton of pictures of them again today. It was a bright and sunny day, so depending on which way I was facing and where the sun was at the time, really had an impact on the outcome of these photos. But there are a few that I like at least.

Robin was telling us that there is an eagle out here with a nest at the far side of the lake. I was really wanting to see an eagle in flight ... and Kaity spotted it WAY up high. I don't have the kind of camera that does this distance justice ... but I aimed and took a shot anyway. Beautiful creature. It just glided along seemingly without effort.
This is Robin and John's place as we approach it from the lake ...
Kaity was pretty pumped to go swimming. I WANTED to ... but I'm such a sissy when it comes to cold water. BRRRRR!

Robin is a champ, though. She took Kaity out on the raft and had fun with her.

Emma got in the water too for quite a long time! I couldn't believe how they could put up with that cold water.

These girls are so precious to me.

Robin has planted some beautiful flowers all around her deck and her garage.

I've never seen this type of flower before and cannot identify it for anything. Pooh.

John cooked us some hotdogs and a very interesting chicken stuffed with cheese and mushrooms, wrapped with bacon. I brought a chicken and rice crock-pot dish. Robin had fresh watermelon too and an amazingly delicious spinach dip with crackers. We ate outside on their deck and just soaked up the beauty. Kaity almost ate an entire hotdog! Amazing!

Kaity looks pretty cold (below) ...
This is the pontoon boat John purchased. It's used and in very good condition. It's quiet and comfortable and they take it out every day all around the lake. Nice.

So thankful for this peaceful time out at Morrisson Lake. It is so kind of John and Robin to be gracious with what God has given them! Thank you!
