July 27 Aidan and Erin

Tuesday:  Another Tuesday without Brendan! This week, he is enjoying a nature camp with one of his very best of friends. We missed you today, Brendan.

Here is what these little stinkers did throughout the day:

We have multiple "meal" times ... snacks here and there ... and now and then they actually eat something one might call a "meal"-- but this is mostly Erin. Aidan only eats Gold Fish and chips, along with Chocolate Milk several different times during our time together. Today, I did offer them Apple Juice because Aidan specifically asked me to get some for him--and they both chose Apple Juice OVER Chocolate Milk! Yay!
Matey kept a very close watch over all of the food. He LOVES human food--mac 'n cheese, cucumbers, watermelon, bananas, lettuce, etc. We finally had to shut him in my room so that we could snack in peace.

We read quite a few stories today and did a lot of building with magnet tiles.
Aidan gets a real bang out of my stuffed hamster, Herbie, who repeats after what is said to him.

It's hilarious to watch Aidan's reaction to his voice being repeated--it just cracks him up so much.
Erin kept busy all day. She loves transforming the alphabet into robots, and she plays for a very long time with my magnet toys.

I love this picture of you, Aidan (below)!
Erin requested that I get out my water toys, so that's what we did for almost an hour and a half in the afternoon. This was a relief because it was pretty hot inside.
At one point, the kiddos decided to use the pool as their kitchen and announced that they were cookin me dinner.
Erin was mixing up a "puhpul [purple] unicorn cake for her buhfday [birthday]" but she was also making TEA just for me.

Aidan said he was mixing up some "bwoccowi" and kept pouring coffee into Erin's little cup. They went at this for almost 30 minutes and were super pleased.

Look at Erin's darling little face ...

I snapped a couple of pictures of them horsing around on the porch ...

This one is super cute of them ...

Before we knew it, my car had been washed, scrubbed, and it was time to go back inside and get dry and have a snack. They really loved the ice-cream filled popsicles! Yes! It was a GOOD day!
