My small community group at Calvary is called LOGOS. One of the couples who have been part of our group for many years is moving away … all the way to Florida. Their health in the last few years hasn't been very good, and the cold winters are difficult for them; so they have decided to move to a warmer place.

Nigel and Angela hosted our going-away event at their home, and that's where we got together Friday evening. We all brought food to pass and cards for Gary and Genvieve too.

Nigel got out some music and his guitar, and we sang for quite awhile out on their beautiful back deck.

It was quite a chilly night, so we wandered indoors and continued singing and sharing ...
We spent some time in prayer, too, asking for God's blessing on Gary and Genvieve, safety as they travel, a good church to become part of, healing of their bodies, and direction for their lives.
A few of us ladies talked it over and we think it would be a lovely idea to get together in someone's home every 4-6 weeks or so … just to enjoy each other's company, and draw near to God. I think it's a wonderful idea.
