It was the family's first football afternoon, and since it was an "away" game for Comstock Park, we were actually out in Cedar Springs at a place called Skinner Field. Thankfully, there was a nice playground not far from the football field.
AND joyfully, Dylan and Kelly and Brendan came to cheer Christopher's game! Brendan watched for a little while, but then he really didn't want to sit in those uncomfortable bleachers any longer; so we walked to the playground.Emma joined us and we had a great time playing together.
Brendan LOVES slides … and Emma has always loved playgrounds.
Brendan is a great kiddo to explore with … he tries EVERYTHING, and is rarely afraid.
"Car. Windshield wipers." Two of Brendan's favorite things. Except this was just a steering wheel, without a car OR windshield wipers. No matter!
Emma and I climbed around on all of the equipment. She is a great climber.
Sweetheart Brendan was close behind … sometimes, he was in front!
Matthew came to play too, but he had not been feeling good this morning, so he wasn't quite himself.
I had all of my sand toys in the trunk of my car. We made a whole bunch of nice castles by digging down below the dry sand and reaching the more moist dirt. Brendan was very much into smashing our molds today … with great joy and pleasure too!
My car was parked right next to the playground, so for a little while we played in my car … something Little Fellow never seems to get enough of … every button gets pushed, the radio is on, the windshield wipers are on full speed, every inside light is shining ...
… PURE JOY!
