It had been many weeks since Brendan had been over to the Beach House … way too long! My lighthouses missed him, and all the toys too!
Dylan and Kelly were offered a "date night" in exchange for Brendan … a win/win don't you think? Brendan loves the Beach House. He explores and discovers and laughs … we have a great time together. He really loves my old music box jewelry box. He just HAS to take the drawers out and SEE that little music box play!
And my magnet sailboat, fish and waves are pretty neat too ...
The playroom has loads of toys Little Fellow just loves to play with.
We built our fire engine puzzle … Brendan helped and was so excited that he got to put the last puzzle piece in place. "We DID it, grandma!" he shouted.
And then the completed puzzle got taken on quite an adventure ...
With a very authentic-sounding siren howling all the way, Brendan took the puzzle on a journey ...
I am not sure why, but Brendan thought an appropriate place for the fire engine to go was UNDER my lighthouse rug!
And from there, he went squealing all the way down the hallway to the back toy room where he proceeded to hide it again!
Under the rug?!!!
Yes, Grandma! All gone!
I think Brendan's biggest thrill of the evening, however, was his introduction to scissors and cutting paper. He had such a blast with all my scissors!
Brendan's a very cause-and-effect little person … so this cutting thing really gave him a charge! We cut up so much paper! But then it was jammie-time and a little break to visit the Thomas the Train home page on-line. We watched a few short videos and played some puzzle games.
And then back down to the play room we went ...
Our Little Fellow looked so cozy and cuddly in his pajamas.
No nap today for this dear one. He just played and played and played! I love him so much!
