Our very lovely farm adventure ...

For our Saturday adventure this week, we drove over to Zeeland for our very first-ever visit to the Critter Barn … I'm sure we will re-visit this place … often! We had so much fun!
It was very nice that everything here is FREE … it is a donation-based farm! They even give each child a bucket of hay to feed the animals … no charge! We did leave them a donation, probably not enough, but perhaps we will be able to give more next time we come.
There was so much to like about this place, and so many darling animals to pick up, cuddle with, laugh at, explore, touch, chase … it was endless! This duck was a bit too wiggly for Emma and got away.

There was an abundance of baby chicks ...
… and every kind of bunny under the sun! I think the bunnies were my favorites. I'm not sure I've ever touched a real rabbit before and had no idea they were this velvety-soft! The rabbit's foot I had as a kid certainly didn't feel like this!
Isn't this just the most darling bunny?
These rough 'n tumble kiddos are amazingly gentle with animals … they have a natural ability to just interact with them, no fear, no hesitation whatsoever!

 Aren't these such happy pictures?!!
I love this beautifully happy boy!
Emma wasn't quite sure about the chicks … they weren't sure about her either ...
And look at this darling mule!

This little mule gave us so much joy! Look at the smiles on these faces!

Matthew wasn't sure if the mule was going to steal
the entire bucket of hay … Chris was giving him words of caution!

There were pot-bellied pigs too. The really famous pig at the Critter Barn who was the oldest pot-bellied pig EVER, died about 10 days ago. His name was Mr. Chops! We met a few of his friends ...

And there were SO MANY goats! We had such a blast feeding them!

There was also the coolest rope swings … and these monkeys enjoyed them in the extreme ...

Everywhere we looked there were the sweetest little animals. The kids were just overjoyed!

This is perhaps the funniest picture I took all day … look at Matthew giving a "goat" face to the goats!

There were chickens, roosters, geese ...
I should have paid closer attention to the wonderful names of these animals because … aren't they great?!!
We loved our Critter Barn adventure. We will surely come back again!
