May 13 Ben and Morgan's wedding

Saturday Afternoon:  I snapped only a few pictures at Ben and Morgan's wedding Saturday afternoon. Emma and I have known the Crompton family for many years. Ben is the eldest son and he and Morgan were married in Hudsonville this past Saturday. We don't really know Ben or Morgan very well--it's Nigel and Angela that we truly know and just wanted to be there for them.

It was super nice to be with Emma for a few hours. She dressed up so nicely. Everyone commented on her beautiful dress and how completely grown up she is.

I liked the bouquets and the centerpieces at the reception venue ...

The bride and groom had a rather small cake--there was a dessert table with lots of beautiful pastries and gluten-free desserts as well.
Here are the bride and groom ...

They looked very happy together. I liked their wedding ceremony. In the pastor's message to this couple, he emphasized three T's: Time, Talk and Touch. He had very wise things to say to encourage Ben and Morgan to be honest and humble in the marriage and to practice forgiving each other quickly. Marriage is very hard work! It takes a lot to put another person first and to serve that them and be completely honest and open.
And here are Nigel and "Gela" (Angela) ... we love them both so much. So glad for them that Ben is married ... finally!
Thankful to be at this happy occasion! Emma and I could only stay an hour at the reception. We both had busy schedules the rest of the day. It was good to be there, though, for as long as we were able. Love you, Nigel and Gela!
