More of Nathan Paul

Grandpa Jones and I were very pleased
to have Nathan Paul come and visit us
Sunday afternoon --
He arrived shortly after 1:00 in the afternoon
having already eaten his lunch and taken a brief nap!
Mr. Jones was absolutely positive he could coax Nathan
to share a little ice cream with him, though.
Nathan was happy to oblige, with a train in each hand!

Nathan enjoyed the trains very much --
he completely understands magnetism now
and hooks all of his train cars up in a row ...

The trains were happy to have some companionship
Grandpa and I are not very good at playing with them
when there are no grandchildren here ...

We also got out the tackle box full of Matchbox cars
and trucks -- Nathan did neat "Vrrrooooom"
sounds and used the pattern of the rug to make roads ...

He kept busy all afternoon playing with all of our toys
It's interesting to watch ONE grandchild play
with all of these toys -- without having to share
with any other child -- watch out, Nathan! Your days are numbered!
Baby Nia will soon be here!

Grandpa! Wake up! Doesn't he look sweet with bear?
It was Sunday afternoon, afterall!
You certainly couldn't expect him not to take a nap!
When Grandma McNeil picked Nathan up in the early evening, Grandpa forgot to give her bear! I think Grandpa had ulterior motives -- look at him all cuddled up with that teddy bear! I had to leave home at 5:00 to meet Dylan in Holland, so I wasn't there when she arrived. Mr. Jones said he received a call a little later about the whereabouts of bear, and the McNeils came back to pick him up ... just in case a small boy might need him when it was time to go to sleep. I hope you slept better than your mom did last night, Nathan ... but you'll have to read Rachel's post about that ...
