Grandpa Jones and I were very pleased
to have Nathan Paul come and visit us
Sunday afternoon --

having already eaten his lunch and taken a brief nap!

to share a little ice cream with him, though.
Nathan was happy to oblige, with a train in each hand!

he completely understands magnetism now
and hooks all of his train cars up in a row ...

Grandpa and I are not very good at playing with them
when there are no grandchildren here ...

and trucks -- Nathan did neat "Vrrrooooom"
sounds and used the pattern of the rug to make roads ...

It's interesting to watch ONE grandchild play
with all of these toys -- without having to share
with any other child -- watch out, Nathan! Your days are numbered!
Baby Nia will soon be here!

It was Sunday afternoon, afterall!
You certainly couldn't expect him not to take a nap!
When Grandma McNeil picked Nathan up in the early evening, Grandpa forgot to give her bear! I think Grandpa had ulterior motives -- look at him all cuddled up with that teddy bear! I had to leave home at 5:00 to meet Dylan in Holland, so I wasn't there when she arrived. Mr. Jones said he received a call a little later about the whereabouts of bear, and the McNeils came back to pick him up ... just in case a small boy might need him when it was time to go to sleep. I hope you slept better than your mom did last night, Nathan ... but you'll have to read Rachel's post about that ...
