Our baby shower for Kristin 4/4/16

Last Monday evening, 4/4/16, my Monday night ladies Bible study group gave a baby shower for a member of our small group. Her name is Kristin. She is a school teacher in a Spanish immersion school here in West Michigan. She and her husband, Michael, are due to have a baby girl at the end of April.

Most of the ladies in our small group are between the age of 40 and 70, but Kristin is in her mid-20's. She is a darling girl and we love her. We have all been excited for this event.
Most of the planning was done by Robin, but the shower was held at our Bible study leader's house, Mary June. Mary June picked up this cute balloon for Kristin ...
Anne was bringing the cake ... and it just so happened that the cake matched the balloon perfectly ...
And the plates and napkins Robin brought for our food ... exactly matched! Wow, huh? We thought this was pretty neat.
This is Kristin beginning to open her gifts. Robin had this so well organized. She had a place where all of the "givers" could list what they had purchased for the baby, and then there were pre-addressed and stamped thank-you cards so that Kristin could just take that list, grab a card and say Thank-You without too much fuss. I received my thank-you card just days after the shower.
Cute little onesies for Baby Willow (this is the baby's name). Kristin received many cute outfits for her daughter, some blankets, children's books, a stroller ... even a few toys!
Pam, Cindy, and Judy enjoying our games and fellowship.
Robin also had an artist-friend sketch and paint this darling picture on canvass. The Scripture is: "The Lord is my strength and my song." And on the musical notes, we each put a finger-print and pledged to pray for baby Willow and this dear family.
We had a really nice time of games, laughter, pizza, and giving of ourselves to this dear friend.
We can't wait to meet baby Willow! Just a few more weeks ...
