We've arrived safely in Austin!

The scenery on I-10 ...
It looks like this pretty much from El Paso
all the way to Fort Stockton
which is about 2/3 of the way to Austin ...

After 11 hours on the road yesterday, we pulled in to Sabrina's driveway at 7:15 last evening. The whole family was out for their Wednesday evening Bible study, but the side door had been left unlocked for Grandpa Jones and I to enter, unpack and start a little laundry. We were also able to wander around their brand new house, be as nosey as we wanted to be (!) and just rest while we waited for them to come home.

This is the view from their upstairs outside porch!

They arrived home at 8:30 just exactly like they said they would and we spent the next hour just playing with the kids and getting them ready for bed. They remembered the nice time we had together in Michigan over Christmas, so we weren't strangers to them at all. Karis was a tiny bit shy, and Jackson was a little quiet at first ... but not for long ... he is an almost four-year-old boy afterall!
Cutie Karis sitting on the kitchen counter
just after getting home from Bible study ...

I've finished posting pictures from the past few days and now I am going to quickly tell you what we did today here in Austin with the Rauch grandchildren ...
Don't forget to backtrack a few days and see the pictures
from El Paso, OK?

Carol I'm glad you arrived safely!
You have to tell me HOW you load so many pictures onto your blog. What method do you use? I thought that I was following your directions, but I have only ever been able to load four at a time. Now it won't take any! Have a great time with your grandkids!! LOVE YOU!
