Kids Radio

If you go to These Tracks Lead to ... you will see I have a new link called Kids Radio, which is radio programming designed for children ages 2 to 12. If you click on the link, you will connect to the home page of His Kids Radio. I checked out some of the programming, and I like it! There is a place to listen On-Demand to several different programs: Down Gilead Lane, Karen & Kids, Kids Corner, Paws & Tales, The Pond, and We Kids. I haven't listened to all of these programs but have previewed several. There are Bible stories and contemporary stories. Some are definitely for little kids, while some would be more appropriate for older children. You can also listen to Live Now On Air, and oftentimes there is good children's music playing. You can also connect to their official blog site. Kids Radio started here in Grand Rapids, through Cornerstone University and W-CSG. If you live in this area, you can actually purchase a radio that only accesses the programming offered through Kids Radio. That way, your children can have their own radio; yet, every program that is offered is geared towards educating kids about God -- not just Bible stories, but also stories about situations children face every day. I was interested in getting each household of grandchildren their very own radio for Christmas -- but since all of you live very far from the West Michigan area, you can't pick up the signal from W-CSG. Last week, Focus on the Family was advertising Wi-Fi Family Radio, which is essentially Kids Radio but it is hooked up through your wireless connection. All of the programming of Kids Radio is then available on-demand, no matter where you are in the world! I checked on purchasing that, but it's pretty expensive. So I thought I'd try this link instead. That way if you want to, you can all play with the site yourselves and play the programs for your little ones to see which ones they like. I was on the site for quite awhile this afternoon. There are even pictures that can be printed off and then colored! I hope you'll check this out ... :)
