They've Arrived!

Adam and Emily pulled into our driveway last night at about 10:45 p.m.! It was so good to finally see them! They stayed and visited until close to midnight. We enjoyed a light snack and good conversation with them.
Sabrina and her family had been keeping in close touch with us throughout their trip north. They didn't get out of town as early as expected Thursday, so they did not arrive at our place until about 2:00 this afternoon. But they are here and we are happy to see them!
Karis and Jackson jumped into action right away -- it was good to get out of the van and run and play!
They emptied the toy shelves pretty quickly! I'm glad I have a lot of books and toys for children to play with ... we had a lot of fun with all of our activities today.
Here is a big smile from Olivia and Karis -- aren't they so beautiful?
We played in the family room, we played in the living room, and we played in the play room! The entire house was trashed in a matter of minutes!! Ah, but life doesn't get any better than this, does it?
Olivia made a great castle with the wooden block set we inherited from my sister and her husband a long time ago ... Olivia is quite the builder!
And Jackson found tons of cars and trucks and airplanes and diggers to keep him very happy!
But then it was time for grandpa to show off his "big trains." Jackson was very pleased to see it all working.
This is a really brief posting of our very full day. I was busy making dinner and didn't have a lot of time to take pictures. I also tried taking a couple of videos, which was quite an undertaking for this very techno-challenged blogger; however, the uploading of those pathetic videos is going to have to wait for another time, another day ... I am just too pooped. The little kids have gone to bed, and Olivia is waiting to play a match game with her grandmother (me!), so I'd best go and do that. I'll try to be more articulate tomorrow ...

We made it... YEAH!!! And the kids did make sure that every toy was played with at least once- well at least all the ones we let them see out! The little ones are sleeping and the house is back in order... at least till they wake up again.
