October 14 with Kaity-Bug

Saturday:  Kaity talked me into renting "Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves" and we watched it before we ate our dinner tonight. There was a different actress (from the first 2 movies) playing the mom in this movie, and Kaity and I decided we did NOT like her! There were some funny moments in the movie, but not nearly like the very first one, which is by far the best of the three. 

Also, my PUZZLE BOARD arrived and Kaity helped me get it out of its shipping box. We started on our first puzzle! It's only 300 pieces, but it is naturally a ... LIGHTHOUSE. It's a pretty picture, and Kaity helped sort pieces of the puzzle into individual trays (that come with the puzzle board). I enjoy assembling puzzles at a leisurely pace, and since cold weather is hot on our heels, it's nice to have something relaxing to do while inside the house.

Afterward, we ate our dinner and drove over to ... can you guess?!?!? Altitude! Wow--it was packed on a Saturday night--several birthday parties going on and a TON of little kids. This never bothers Kaity, which is a good thing! She is pretty regularly highly social--not always--but mostly. She always finds new "friends" to have fun with. Today, there was a kid who was in her fourth grade class (last year); so they hung around for a little while.

Kaity had several "battles" with her school friend, most of which she won! She was very pleased. I love to watch Kaity interact with other children. She does a nice job of meeting and including other kids--not always--but there can be pretty annoying kids at this trampoline place! She tries to stay her distance from those ones, but can't always succeed because they are SO persistent! Everyone seems to want to be with Kaity, whether she likes it or not!
