May 12 Jumping at Altitude!

Thursday:  It was a record hot day here in W. Michigan today, reaching 87 degrees ... I think it felt hotter yesterday because the humidity was higher ... but whatever! It was a little uncomfortable to play at a playground that had no shade. Kaity asked if I could take her to Altitude Trampoline Park over on Alpine and Four Mile. Her mom bought a membership there for Kaity. So ... we went!

This is the first time I've ever walked into this place. It's clean, organized, air-conditioned, well managed and ... a TON of fun! Since Kaity has a membership already, she just walked right in and I could watch her have fun and it didn't cost me a single cent!

The membership here is an unbelievably LOW $10/month per child with a $20 registration fee. Also, participants MUST wear Altitude socks ($3 per pair in various sizes)--just buy a pair that fits and take it home, wash it, and wear it the next time you come. They put a colored band on each child's wrist and then after an hour has gone by, they announce that the hour is up for children wearing that color band--because each child has ONE hour per visit. However, they were so busy at the front desk yesterday they never called for the yellow arm bands to quit jumping--so Kaity actually had an extra 30 minutes.
There are so many fun things to do here. Our Kaity-Girl is happiest when in motion--so she was pretty ecstatic. Look at all of her "moves"!!

There is even a "flying trapeze" kind of thing which is thankfully supervised very carefully by staff. Kaity loved this!
I didn't take a huge amount of pictures because I am lousy at action shots ... there is a lot more to this place than I have posted here. Lots and lots of fun and safe stuff for kids to do.

I sent a text to Kelly this afternoon asking if perhaps she and Dylan would like to buy memberships for their kiddos ... that way on Tuesdays, we could spend an hour "jumping" around and releasing all of that energy ...

The above picture shows the dodge ball area. Kaity was playing the game with a few children she had just met today--they were having so much fun!

I would give this place a TEN rating ... super fun!
