I was listening to one of my Fernando Ortega albums the other morning, and he quotes this verse (ISA 40.8) ... and I thought it was so powerful ... because you see, I love flowers when they are in the glory of their full bloom, and I love the beauty in nature so much--but I need to be reminded that even though God made these beautiful things, they do not last--some day they will--but not in this world. God is the only One enduring, and His Word is alive and powerful. It will never die. Such a contrast to the changing and decaying world we live in. I'm so thankful I can trust a never-changing, deeply loving God.
