My one and only Disney encounter ... so far at least!

Monday, March 12:  David checked the forecast for Monday, which was pretty dismal for boating, so I talked him into taking me to EPCOT for the day. Yikes--expensive! But ... I am so glad we had the opportunity to do this! We had SO MUCH FUN. We arrived at about 9:30 or so (the park opens at 9am) and waited in a line (naturally) to go through security and then purchase are extremely expensive day-pass. Below is pictured the famous Epcot World, which can pretty much be seen all over the park.
Rain threatened throughout the morning ... we took in the exhibits and enjoyed ourselves hugely.
See how overcast the skies are?
The cold front had partially come in over night, so it was chilly even on Monday. I was very thankful for the hooded jacket David loaned to me.
Below is the Mexico exhibit. We waited in line (not very long) and walked inside ...
We took a very calm and cute "ride" through the building, were serenaded by some good music ...
... saw some pretty stuff and then ...
We came outside of Mexico and found this delicious tropical garden right next to it. Flowers like this are not seen up north here in Michigan, so I was super pleased to take these in.

Then we walked on over to Norway and saw the house where Elsa and Anna had one time lived (I guess before they moved into the castle?)

There was a very cool train set-up in on the way to Germany ...

The rain held off until about 11:00 and then there was no avoiding it if we stayed outside. David had the great idea of riding the tram over to the resorts so that we could walk around the fancy hotels.
This is the Grand Floridian. David had to take a conference call for work, so I just explored the place for the duration.

Aren't the lights and architecture gorgeous?

And these roses!
There is David taking his call ... it was about a 90 minute conversation.
Afterwards, we walked around outside (because the rain had cleared and brought clear blue skies!) and took note of these signs posted every 20 feet or so. It reads: "DANGER! Alligators and snakes in area." It's all fenced off now and people are told NOT to feed the wildlife. This is long over-due (from what I hear) at Disney after some real tragedy took place a few years ago.
There are amazing flowers and plants and cool Disney stuff scattered here and there ...
And terribly interesting birds. I'm going to have to look up their names via Google or something ...

Below is the grounds in front of "O Canada" which is a circular screen that shows a 15 minute documentary of the beauties of the land up north ...
There is also a pretty impressive aquarium via the Nemo and Dory exhibit. You have to take a ride on a SHELL all through the Nemo and Dory story to get to the aquarium. I kept thinking how much my little ones would enjoy this ...

Such cool fish!

Beautiful! God is so amazing in His creation, isn't He?

We ate our delicious dinner in England--fish 'n chips! We stayed almost 12 hours at the park. My pictures in no way does it justice. We saw wonderful fireworks at 9:00 pm and then we drove back to Tampa.
