MISS Kaitlynn

Saturday, September 7:  I picked Kaity up this afternoon at 3:00. We came over to my house to spend time together today. I asked Kaity what she would like to do and she immediately said she wanted to "Play School!" So that is what we did ... for a solid TWO hours! Oh my!
Kaity appointed herself TEACHER and Paco was her adoring student. I was invited to come to class as the "mother of the pig." Ouch.
We decided that the playroom was a very good place to set up our classroom. We used the window as a white board, got out our appropriate markers, and Kaity got to work!
Since we didn't have a bus big enough to transport Paco to school, we had to pretend our dump truck was the bus ... easy peasy ... Paco was pleased.
Kaity decided we could all call her MISS KAITLYNN. She included everything possible in our school day. This picture below is of our teacher getting her class ready for a field trip outside to "catch bugs."
MISS Kaitlynn wrote her name on our board, put up a few math problems (which Paco solved with a little help), and she even wrote up some sight words for Paco to learn to read. She asked ME (the mother of the pig) to write "Saturday" on our board so that we would KNOW what day it was.
Kaity ran outside for me to take her picture as she was checking out her classroom ...
Isn't our teacher, MISS Kaitlynn, so delightful?

Our dear pet, Matey, was rather left out because we were way back in the playroom and he was out in the dining area. Kaity had a great solution--we could invite Matey to join our class. He could be the class PET!
Here is our teacher, hard at work, instructing her class in everything from soup to nuts ...
We did take a little break (because all children need "free time" to play) and we built this block tower. It was a nice break.

Near the end of our school day, our teacher got tired enough to sit down. We had talked about bugs, math, reading, and ... we were exhausted.
Then it was time for recess ... and where else to have recess but at Kaity's school playground? We took Paco there because he had worked so hard at school all day.
Kaity's school has a super nice playground. She loves to run and play and climb and slide and swing and explore.
Kaity-Girl ... I love you so much. You are a gift to your grandma!
