Sunday night:
Emma and I lit the LOVE candle tonight and read "He is Here" from the Jesus Storybook Bible. We also sang a few verses of "O Holy Night" at the piano. Emma said she hadn't noticed the words to this song before--only the music. It is one of my favorite Christmas carols. I love these words: "Long lay the world, in sin and error pining, till He appeared and the soul felt its worth." I'm so thankful He came just as He promised He would.
I John 4.9-10: "God showed how much he loved us by sending His only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through Him. This is real love. It is not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins."
