After school with Kaity

Thursday, October 4:  Kaity and I headed right over to the zoo after school today. The zoo officially closes at 4:00 pm, but they generally delay it about 15 minutes, so we actually got to spend 35 minutes looking at animals. This was fine with Kaity.
When we arrived, I asked Kaity which animal she particularly wanted to see today because we didn't have a whole lot of time. Kaity picked the FOX as the one animal she really wanted to see; so we walked on over to see him.
And there he was! However, he would NOT talk to us today. We tried our best to bring out a yelp from him, but he just was NOT interested in talking.
We watched the flamingoes for awhile, and we went to where the chimpanzees usually are, but they were NOT there--they had all gone INSIDE--that's how cold it was!
We walked through the lizard house and found all kinds of snakes, frogs, turtles, and this reptile too.
We turned one of our pennies into a tiger, and then we went down to the Gift Shop and purchased a key-ring band for the coin to insert inside.
These teepee is super cute, but NOT worth the $199.00 sticker tag on it! Goodness! Perhaps $29?
The announcement was given that the zoo was closing, so we walked over to visit the geese.
Kaity was annoyed that they were not flying, so she charged straight ahead right into their territory.
Some of them spread their wings, but none of them actually took off ...

Later at my house, Kaity and I had a nice dinner together, and then we got out our paints and sat at the table, chatted together and painted very nicely!

 Nice job, coloring, Kaity!
I love to hang out with you, Kaity-Girl!
