Fun at the public museum

Monday, December 10:  I took Aidan downtown to the GR Public Museum this morning to look around and explore. I hadn't remembered that this incredible LEGO model was being displayed! Look at it! The museum worker told me it took three guys three days to assemble this very cool layout of downtown Grand Rapids including a running trolley.
Aidan was pretty mesmerized by it ...

Look at his dear little face ...

I thought sure Aidan would want to be OUT of the stroller and run around a little bit inside the museum, but no matter which exhibit we were looking at, he decidedly did NOT want to be unstrapped from his comfy little seat!
Look at the detail on the fire escape and the brick work and windows, etc. on this building! Wow!
Below is a very cool player piano that works quite beautifully when a quarter is inserted. Aidan was less than impressed, probably because the piano itself was behind thick glass.

There was a super cool toy exhibit with all kinds of hands on play areas ... but no matter how I coaxed, Aidan Paul was staying EXACTLY where he was ... and don't even TRY to remove his coat!

Aidan always has fun, though, no matter what. I figured if he was content as he was, I wasn't going to push him into anything he didn't want to do ... afterall, I'm a grandma, not a parent!
We took a little stroll outside, around the museum too. AND we took our very first carousel ride (again, with Aidan firmly attached to his stroller).
It looks colder than it actually was this morning. There at least was NO wind. Dear Aidan ... isn't he just the cutest little love you have ever seen? Gah!
We came back to my house and played with everything in sight, and then we ate a nice lunch together. Aidan actually ATE his pasta today instead of just moving it around his tray and dropping it on the floor (!!). He also ate a hearty amount of watermelon and pretzels and veggie chips. Made my grandma heart very happy, yes indeed!
Love you, Aidan Paul!
