A tiny taste of Heaven ...

Saturday, July 7:  DEER TRACKS JUNCTION.  The weather could not have been more beautiful for our trip to Deer Tracks today. Mid-80's, low humidity, not a single cloud in the sky.
"The boys" had unexpected company drop by their house this afternoon, so they were occupied with old friends. Only Ems and Kaity came over and we drove out to Cedar Springs to re-visit Deer Tracks. This is our third year coming out to this delicious little piece of heaven ...
LAST year, there were no baby pigs. Apparently the adult pigs were "not in the mood" last spring; hence, no babies. But there was an abundance of piglets this year.
We love this place because the genius who designed these playgrounds, really had children in mind. There are secret tunnels EVERYWHERE that connect the buildings, underground passages, slides, bridges ... it is SO MUCH FUN.
This year, there is an additional younger children's play area ... much more suitable to ages 2-7 or so. I was so pleased to see this!
ALSO, they have added THREE camels! Please meet Carmen and April (below). Emma was feeding them carrots ...

Below is my favorite of them!

Kaity wasn't exactly sure about the camels ...

Look at these great places to climb! This is also an additional play building ...
They added a whole bunch of great climbing areas to the already-existing bigger kids area ...

And we got to see some reindeer close up, even though we didn't pay the extra price! Bonus!
Here is "Sandbar" the two-humped camel!
The slides were something else!
Bye Emma! She told me this wasn't very fast, so I gave it a whirl and shrieked the whole way down.

You can climb to the top of many of these buildings and the view is wonderful. Look at dear Emma below ...
The girls were kind enough to pose with SANDBAR ...

Isn't this the coolest place!???

The girls and I had such a wonderful time. On one occasion when we were all on top of one of the buildings looking out on the farm, I told them that this was how heaven was going to be. Happy and beautiful just like this! Thank you, Lord, for the beauty you have created. Thank you for joy and laughter, for animals ... for grandchildren!
