The First Mate comes to dinner

Saturday, November 10:  Dear Kaity thought it might be fun to invite Matey-bird to dinner ... so she transported him over to the table while we sat down to eat. His little wings were clipped when he was at the pet store and they haven't fully grown back yet--so he doesn't fly very high when he attempts it. Kaity helped him over to the table and he seemed quite happy to join us.

 He strutted all around the table, very curious at our food!

 He even tasted a bite of rice!

 Isn't he so sweet?

 Kaity was totally amused to have Matey sit on her bowl of chicken and rice.

 Matey jumped off the table and onto my leg and climbed on up ...

 This is the first time little Matey-Bird had dinner with us AND the first time he climbed up my pant leg. Good job, First Mate!
