Friday:  The weeks sure go by quickly. Here it is Friday again already! Thankfully, a quick storm came through and took the edge off the heat; so we were not nearly as uncomfortable at my house than we were on Tuesday. 

 There is nothing whatsoever unusual about these photos ... this is pretty typical run-of-the-mill kinds of scenes that occur throughout our time together. Aidan is finally getting used to Matey and even attempts to play with him--although Aidan ASSUMES that Matey will just OBEY his slightest command! It's pretty funny actually. "Come here, Matey!" Aidan will demand. Matey is completely noncompliant and Aidan will repeat: "Come HERE, Matey! I want to play with you!" But Matey does not heed one single word Mr. Aidan has to say.

 Matey is usually forgiven, because Aidan is such a dear little soul and so easily amused.

 Erin gets on much better with Matey because she siply follows him around and lets him take the lead ...

 It's super cute to watch the kiddos enjoy this little bird. How much Matey has added to our playtimes together!

 Our movie for today was "UP." Can you believe I actually watched this two days in a row? Brendan wasn't sure he wanted to watch it at first, but almost immediately he was into it. All three of the kids really liked it. I popped some Pop Secret Movie popcorn for them to eat while we watched. 

Afterwards, we caught some fresh air out on my front porch for a little while ...

 We have to be super careful, though, if Matey is "loose" in the house. We certainly don't want Matey to follow us outside and fly away. He would never find his way back and we would be so sad!
